Day 2 began with much zeal and vigour and continued with designers showcasing their terrific designs on the Runway. The audience witnessed some of the most prolific designs.
The second line of designers worked around the theme, Fluid Elements.
Paathshala thoughtfully curated by connoisseur designer Gazal Mishra is the newest collection from her atelier which is ready to burn through the fashion elite’s trendy conscience.
Purple Feathers by Pinkey represents royalty and creativity through its collection and nobility towards its clients. The drapes are inspired from our vintage sarees for the contemporary woman of today with its timeless style cuts.
Megha Jain’s Abstract is inspired from the iridescence phenomena in Iceland. This collection attempts to bring to life the lustrous rainbow-like play of colours and textures in beautiful styles and drapes-created to appeal to the refined tastes of elegant, experimental and feminine women.
Just Like by Anju Jain is inspired by the majestic landscape of the Brahmaputra, the collection reflects the modern Indian woman who stays true to her roots and yet is ever-changing, like the flowing river.
Jenjum Gadi brand is well known for its fresh design using tribal colours, motifs art and culture. Their speciality lies in conceptual innovative embroidery, texturing and mixing fabric combined with various stitching, draping and layering techniques.
Munkee.see.Munkee.doo is a brand by Teresa and Utsav Pradhan. Spring 2020 is about everyday living. Basic wardrobe essentials have been updated and reworked. There is a play of architecture and sculptural lines, giving the collection a graphic outline. All textiles are cotton handwoven in Manipur.
Anuradha Kuli specializes in traditional ethnic wear from Assam and believes in creating magic from eri silk, muga silk and mulberry silk. With inhouse cultivated indigo and turmeric dye, her collection consists of fine traditional Indian Sarees and lehengas. The collection is 100% organic and handloom weaving.
Shruti Sancheti’s Blossoms inspired this elegant capsule of easy-breezy Resort wear. Looking at the world through deliscious pastel filter, this collection is graphically flourished with all things Oriental. The majestic Pagodas, Koi ponds to tropical landscapes, every aspect of the eternal spring is captured in our signature prints.
The Dhi SS20 collection is a reflection of this evolution. The collection has happy silhouettes that have embodied the principles of zero wastage. The gussets and kalis have been manipulated to create unique ensembles. The Ensembles – Kalidar dresses & Innovative trousers based on zero wastage patterns. Sheer overlays and cotton jackets. The Fabrics used are fine chanderis, soft hand-spun cottons, khadi, linens with hints of hand-spun silk. The Colours range from kora, nude pink to tangerine.
“The Gatekeeper” is a collection inspired by the decadence of kingdoms over the past. Opulent hand embroideries inspired by pixelated forms of broken monuments & vandalized sculptures are skillfully crafted to give a visual effect of 3D Printing. While the contemporary silhouettes & hand clutches renders the collection a modern flavour, the overplay of gold 3D embroideries & headgears inspired by vintage bonnets & hats places it in the past to create a feeling of a lost kingdom.
