One of the most common skin problems among girls is having oily skin. These causes several skin problems like blackheads, whiteheads and acne. To help you cope with the same, we have listed down five easy-peasy DIY face packs to achieve the perfect oil-free, clear skin we all want. Try your hands on any of  these masks after cleansing your face.

Bentonite clay and Activated Charcoal powder: This pack has taken the beauty world by storm. Beauty enthusiasts are raving about it. Mix two pinches of activated charcoal powder to one tablespoon of Bentonite clay. Add water/rosewater to make a paste and your detoxifying pack is ready! Apply it on your face and leave it for 15-30 minutes before washing. This powerful combination cleanses the pores, leaving your pores tightened and skin softer. Don’t forget to finish the routine with a toner and a moisturiser. Use it twice a week to notice visible reduction in blackheads and whiteheads.

Garbanzo bean flour and Turmeric mask: A holy grail for Indian brides, this mask helps in oil-control and makes your skin glow. It also helps to clear those pesky blemishes and pimples. Add a pinch of turmeric to one tablespoon of garbanzo bean flour. You can also add a little lemon juice (or water) to make a paste. Don’t use lemon juice if you have a sensitive skin. Apply it on your face and wash it off once it dries. Be careful with the turmeric powder, as adding too much can impart a yellow tinge to your skin. You can get rid of the excess yellow colour with the help of a cotton ball soaked in toner. Follow it up with a moisturiser.

Fuller’s earth and Rosewater: Fuller’s earth has been used since time immemorial to achieve a smooth skin. Rosewater effectively calms and soothes the skin. This pack is great for open pores and helps in tightening the skin. Take one tablespoon of fuller’s earth and add rosewater to make a paste. Apply it on your face and rinse it out after 15-20 minutes. Make sure the rosewater you use doesn’t contain alcohol as an ingredient.

Sandalwood powder and Rosewater: In addition to getting rid of excess oil, this face pack also takes cares of acne and blemishes. Along with rosewater it imparts your skin with a soothing and calming effect. Take one tablespoon of sandalwood powder and add rosewater to make a paste. Make sure the paste is not too runny. Apply the pack and wash off once it dries completely. Follow it with toning and moisturising.

Fuller’s earth and Neem leaves powder: Mix equal quantities of fuller’s earth and neem leaves powder and add rosewater/water to make a paste. Neem leaves powder have anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-inflammatory properties. It is super effective for acne, rashes and scars. You can also mix neem leaves powder with yogurt. Yogurt moisturises the skin alongwith absorbing the excess sebum produced by the skin. It also helps in dealing with skin blemishes as it contains lactic acid which is a mild exfoliant and skin lighter.
