A special screening of trending movie ‘Chhapaak’ took place in Mumbai on Wednesday. Along with the cast and crew of the movie, including leading lady Deepika Padukone, her on-screen pair Vikrant Massey and director Meghan Gulzar, the screening was attended by Laxmi Agarwal and Ranveer Singh as well. Both the gorgeous ladies, Padukone and Agarwal, stunned in their Sabyasachi attires. The leading lady of Bollywood and woman of great courage, Padukone glittered in a deep blue electric saree laden with sequins. Her attire was designed by her favourite — Sabyasachi.

Agarwal attended the event in a red silk saree with blushed hues silk saree Sabyasachi as well, just like Padukone. She opted for a gorgeous silk brocade saree with intricate gold floral work. She paired the saree with a long-sleeved plain blouse which elegantly rounded off the heavy six-yards.

Doting husband Ranveer Singh was all-praise post the screening of the movie. He posted emotional praise on his social media after the screening. “It offers a definitive and insightful deep-dive into the horrific gamut of acid violence. The story shakes you to your core and then lifts you heroically until your emotions soar,” he said.

The story of the movie is inspired by the real story of Laxmi Agarwal. At the age of just 15, she was attacked by 32-year-old Naeem Khan. The stalker threw acid on her as an act of revenge for refusing to marry him. In 2006, she even filed a Public Interest Litigation in the Supreme Court for a total ban on the sale of acid.
