Dior has launched a brand-new campaign to present its Fall 2020 Menswear collection. This follows the campaign for its stellar Pre-Fall 2020 Menswear collection drop. The campaign again boasts of a graphics-heavy backdrop curated by streetwear legend Shawn Stussy. Renowned fashion photographer Steven Meisel captures the collection in all its essence, eccentric, vibrant and playful. The campaign collection items will be available via Dior’s website on June 12.

As seen in the picture, the menswear collection is taking beach-style outfits to a more winder accord with long trenchcoats, flower hats and sling bags, monochrome suits, leather shorts and stylised sneakers. The new collection is replete with several new styles borrowing inspiration from the label’s Pre-Fall 2020 collection. Shawn Stussy’s signature styles brim the collection with graphic perfection. Dior’s monogrammed accessories and sweaters are among the other offering of this new campaign. Other highlights include a red snakeskin print that accentuates an elongated coat, with modern and unique takes on suiting showcased throughout. Like the last collection, the accessories comprise flower-clad bucket hats, side bags, sunglasses, earrings, brooch pins, and more.

Kim Jones, the Artistic Director of Dior Men spoke to Hypebeast, “This campaign captures the idea of Miami and the modern vision of Dior enhanced by Shawn’s graphic identity.” In the campaign, Jones’ characteristically-sleek style is on full display, continuing to mingle traditional tailoring with streetwear sensibilities. Outside of the Dior x Air Jordan 1 being showcased, the campaign has also revealed a new pair of see-through Jelly Sandals. Hypebeast revealed.

Wedding Affair has previously reported as the streetwear legend made a comeback in the fashion scene with Dior Fre-Fall 2020. We compiled the following information for you. Kim Jones made us witness a Shawn Stussy creation after more than 20 years after the great talisman of street fashion (read: surf fashion) pledged retirement in 1996. The Dior pre-fall 2020 runway in Miami was a blend of colourful and quirky sweaters, cool sippers, hand fans, and also classic Dior sneakers and bags — all with Stussy’s signature hand-written script spelling out Dior.

The show took place on December 3, 2020, and has been creating hype ever since. A new sneak peek into the sneaker collaboration between the streetwear legends. Stussy’s take on Dior B23 sneakers then created a new buzz among the streetwear enthusiasts awaiting its launch.

Inspired from ‘60s Miami Nights and Floride Outings, the entire range of menswear collection was nostalgic yet contemporary. It caught on to the current of ultra-modern street fashion of the season. The 3D flower accentuates, snake prints on leather, beaded accessories and vintage-style fashion dominated the collection. Check out our article with this compilation.

The Stussy touch was the right tempering to the quintessential Dior designs. In conversation with Nikki Ogunnaike, Stussy said, “I’ve been away for a lot of years so I think of big corporations as something different, but Dior’s more soulful than any of these surf companies believe it or not. Way more cool like Stussy was. The last 10 years, there have been a number of offers to come and do something and it just didn’t feel right. But on this one, the stars just lined up. I know a lot of it had to do with being Kim; a lot of it had to do with being Dior. It holds a rare place.”
