Breaking the heart of millions of his female fans, our very own ironman Milind Soman got married on April 22, 2018 to his long-time girlfriend Ankita Konwar. The much in love couples exchanged vows in a private ceremony held at Alibaug. The couple had a traditional Maharashtrian wedding which was also attended by model and actress Dipannita Sharma. Milind Soman and Ankita Konwar looked nothing short of resplendent in their colour coordinated white outfits. The pre-wedding rituals which comprised of mehendi, haldi and sangeet were held a day before the wedding took place. The bride was the epitome of cool as she breezed in Assamese outfits and jewellery for the pre-wedding functions. Milind Soman was previously married to French actress Mylene Jampanoi from 2006 to 2009. The couple faced a lot of criticism because of their age difference but love conquers all and the couple had nothing less than a fairy tale ending. Ankita’s real name is Sunkusmita Konwar and was born in Guwahati, Assam. This was clearly reflected in her choice of outfits as she wore a yellow mekhela chador which is a traditional Assamese outfit for women, for her haldi ceremony. She completed the look with subtle yet elegant Assamese jewellery.
Ankita is a senior flight attendant who can converse in five languages namely, Assamese, Bengali, French, English and Hindi. Like her husband even she loves sports. Ankita had completed a 10K marathon with Milind in November 2015.
She is 26 years old which makes her almost 27 years younger than her husband. But the lovely pair never let this be an obstacle in their relationship.
