Another Day, Yet Another Stellar Showcase Of Fashion At Lakme Fashion Week 2020

Day 4 at the Lakme Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020 continued to be a florid display of art and fashion as designers put up an indelible spectacle on the ramp. To the pulsating beat of tribal African music, the mood was set for the vibrant collection. ‘Kaveri’ label’s collection called “I Listen to Colour” had all the right touches of embroidery, detailing, texturing, silhouettes, fabrics and style that will make a perfect summer wardrobe addition, while Mohammed Mazhar’s dramatic whites made a definite fashion statement. His collection, “Jeeansaaz” (saddler), was an ode to the saddle makers for horses and horse fashion.

When summer is around the corner, it is time for that global holiday that needs a wardrobe that is versatile and trendy. Shahin Mannan’s “Fernweh” (meaning ‘longing for far off places’ in German) was a perfect travel-worthy offering at Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2020. Manish Chhabra’s label ‘Delhi Vintage Company’ unveiled sustainable fashion with compassion and an organic twist with his collection “Ahimsa” which ticked off all the right boxes.

Prreeti Jain Nainutia’s label ‘Nirmooha’ showed “Coraline” the perfect holiday wardrobe with the inspiration drawn from underwater beauty and coral reefs. Looking absolutely stunning, the lovely Esha Gupta sashayed on the ramp in a heavily encrusted mini skirt, bralette and shaded sheer shirt, to close the show with her striking presence for ‘Nirmooha’.

Punit Balana and SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi brought summer wear glamour as the “The Royal Bagh” collection by Balana offered perfect grand additions to the wardrobes and the “Galeecha” collection from SVA by Sonam and Paras Modi presented summer travel fashion as a sartorial delight. Verandah by Anjali Patel Mehta and Rara Avis by Sonal Verma too offered an eclectic collection of great holiday wear for women.“A Summer Sonnet” showcased at The Atelier by the ‘Jade’ label created by Monica Shah and Karishma Swali was a collection that embodied all the beauty, glamour and elegance for women’s wear.
