Ariana Grande is now in our favourite bride-to-be list! On Sunday, the singer, 27, showed off her new diamond engagement ring in photos shared on Instagram. “Forever n then some,” Grande captioned the series of images. These included a close look at her engagement ring. “They couldn’t be happier, they’re just so excited. This is a happy time for them, both sets of parents are thrilled,” a source tells PEOPLE of Grande and Dalton Gomez, who is a real estate agent.
Grande’s Instagram post showed two looks at what appears to be her engagement ring, which appears to have a minimal band, a pearl, and an oval-shaped diamond at an angle.
Meanwhile, Ariana’s mother Joan Grande also announced the big news on Twitter and she welcomed Dalton to the family. She wrote, “I am so excited to welcome Dalton Gomez into our family! Ariana, I love you and Dalton so much! Here’s to happily ever after! Yay!”
Grande had hinted at her relationship with Gomez over the past year, tucking photos with him into stacks of images shared on Instagram. A music video for her collaboration with Justin Bieber on “Stuck With U,” a nod to quarantine, was the couple’s public debut in the spring. It came featuring a clip of Grande and Gomez dancing. As Insider’s Callie Alghrim previously reported, Gomez and Grande’s relationship is the musician’s first – at least in the public eye – since her broken engagement with Pete Davidson in October 2018.
Gomez is a real estate agent at the Aaron Kirman Group in Los Angeles. He was born and raised in Southern California, according to his profile on the agency’s website. He has worked in luxury real estate for five years, overseeing sales of homes like Pierre Koenig’s Case Study No. 21 in Los Angeles, which served as the set of “Charmed.”
