The Chronomat Bentley celebrates Bentley and Breitling’s long-lasting partnership of 17 years with a distinctive green dial. The Chronomat watch in itself garners 36 years of history. It is, of course, one of the most iconic watches by the watchmaker. Breitling Chronomat Bentley is the name of the brand new watch offering by the trending collaboration. The edging style rendering of the timepiece is by 42 mm stainless steel. The watch contains features inspired by the car manufacturer. The legendary car brand’s logo engravings on the transparent sapphire case back add to the total glam of the watch.
“The 1984 Chronomat occupies a very important place in our modern history. The Chronomat Collection is a fitting tribute to the amazing watch that, more than any other, put us back in touch with our heritage,” Georges Kern, CEO of Breitling mentions in a press release.
The History
Breitling’s all-purpose watch for your every pursuit, the watchmaker’s website states. The Chronomat holds a significant place in Breitling’s history, it also mentions. Introduced in 1984, at a time where extra-thin quartz timepieces were the order of the day, Breitling placed a bold bet on an impressively proportioned mechanical watch, it further states. The watch is also based on the Frecce Tricolori chronograph, whose development and launch took place in 1983. That was in collaboration with the famed Italian aerial squadron. The Chronomat celebrated Breitling’s centenary in style and marked the return of the mechanical chronograph. The return was to its rightfully prominent place at the brand which had built its global reputation on these incredible watches.
This latest offering features a 42 mm case and the iconic bezel with the four-rider tabs. The Chronomat Bentley celebrates the long-lasting partnership with Bentley with a distinctive green dial, Breitling declares. Paired with the signature “Rouleaux” bracelet, the Chronomat Bentley is powered by the in-house Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, a COSC-certified chronometer, the website also tells.
