The 34-year-old Bollywood actor passed away on Sunday, leaving behind his mourning fans and well-wishers. In his short career, Rajput essayed a number of characters, including real-life hero MS Dhoni. This role also catapulted him to superstardom. He seamlessly made the transition from television acting to the silver screen and found instant success with his debut film Kai Po Che. Chhichhore

In the film Sushant plays father to a son who attempts suicide when he fails to get into IIT. In a bid to help him get better, Rajput’s character reminisces about his own college life. A story about college friends and the drama in their lives. This project was Sushant Singh Rajput’s last theatrical release.

Sonchiriya

Sushant played a dacoit wandering the Chambal Valley, in this Abhishek Chaubey movie showed Rajput in a different light. His portrayal of a hardened but considerate criminal was a shift from the romantic roles he was used to being seen in. The critics and audience alike applauded his efforts.

M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story

Sushant Singh Rajput in this biopic was one of the finest performances by the actor till date. He flawlessly portrayed the evolution of a small-town boy from Ranchi living the larger-than-life role of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The film was loved by one and all, whether they were a fan of cricket and Dhoni or not.

Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! 

Director Dibaker Banerjee’s brave attempt to remake the classic indie detective series into a film, with Sushant in the titular role. A dark, brooding cinematography, accompanied by a suspenseful premise, made the movie a must-watch. But what really impressed us was Sushant’s portrayal of the country’s most loved detective.

Kai Po Che

How can we forget this gem. His debut film ‘Kai Po Che’ which established him as a successful Bollywood actor. Before this, he had acted in popular serials such as ‘Kis Desh Main Hai Meraa Dil’ and ‘Pavitra Rishta’.

Rest in peace Sushant. We will miss seeing you on screen.
