Legendary actor and star Dharmendra turns 85 today on December 8. He has been widely regarded as the most handsome man of Hindi Cinema and one of the first action heroes on the Indian celluloid. The veteran star is gearing up for Anil Sharma’s Apne 2, a sequel to the 2007-drama that united him with his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol for the first time. This time, Karan Singh Deol also joins the cast, bringing the three generations together on the screen. Anupama (1966)

Mohan Sharma (Tarun Bose) is a workaholic, whose life changes dramatically after his wife dies upon giving birth to their daughter Uma (Sharmila Tagore). He despises the daughter by day, and adores her when drunk at night. The film is about Uma’s coming of age and her relationship with a sensitive poet Ashok (Dharmendra) who slowly brings her out of her shell.

Naya Zamana (1971)

Anoop (Dharmendra) is a struggling writer. One day he meets with wealthy and beautiful Seema (Hema Malini) and both fall in love. When Seema’s brother Rajan Choudhury (Pran) finds out, he is angered and forbids Seema to see Anoop again. Seema’s dad, Sachin Choudhury (Ashok Kumar) forbids Seema to see Anoop anymore as well as stay away from the poor people’s lives. As a result, Seema will now to chose between her lover and her father.

Sholay (1975)

Sholay is a 1975 Indian action-adventure film written by Javed Akhtar and Salim Khan and directed by Ramesh Sippy. Therefore, after his family is murdered by a notorious and ruthless bandit. A former police officer enlists the services of two outlaws to capture the bandit.

Chupke Chupke (1975)

A newly wedded husband plays a practical joke on his wife’s family with full support from his wife and friends. An entertaining watch.
