As Saif Ali Khan turned 50 yesterday, Wedding Affair decided to list down some films that always make us fall in love with the actor. While they are the finest films, his acting is what has made these better. On the actor’s birthday, we have listed down a couple of movies and we feel they could also make for a great watch list. Omkara

Omkara,is an Indian crime drama film adapted from Shakespeare’s Othello, co-written and directed by Vishal Bhardwaj. It starred Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Konkona Sen Sharma and Saif Ali Khan in the lead roles, supported by Vivek Oberoi and Bipasha Basu. The director Vishal Bhardwaj himself composed the entire music for the film, including the background score, with lyrics by Gulzar. The film is set in Meerut, a city in Western Uttar Pradesh.

Kal Ho Na Ho

Naina, an introverted, perpetually depressed girl’s life changes when she meets Aman. But Aman has a secret of his own which changes their lives forever. Embroiled in all this is Rohit, Naina’s best friend who conceals his love for her. Kal Ho Naa Ho, is a 2003 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy-drama film directed by Nikkhil Advani. The film stars Jaya Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Saif Ali Khan, and Preity Zinta. With Sushma Seth, Reema Lagoo, Lillete Dubey, and Delnaaz Paul in supporting roles. It tells the story of Naina Catherine Kapur, a pessimistic and uptight MBA student. She falls in love with her neighbour Aman Mathur, a terminally ill patient who tries to set Naina up with her best friend Rohit Patel, since he fears she will grieve for him if he reciprocates her feelings.

Dil Chahta Hai

Dil Chahta Hai is a 2001 coming-of-age romantic drama film. Marking Farhan Akhtar’s directorial debut, as well as his debut as a writer. Starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Akshaye Khanna, Preity Zinta, Sonali Kulkarni and Dimple Kapadia. The film is set in present-day urban Mumbai and Sydney. Focuses on a major period of transition in the romantic lives of three college-graduate friends. Three inseparable childhood friends are just out of college. As a result, nothing comes between them. Until they each fall in love, and their wildly different approaches to relationships creates tension.

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior

Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior is a 2020 biographical period action film directed by Om Raut and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Ajay Devgan under T-Series Films and Ajay Devgn FFilms. Tracing the life of Maratha warrior Tanaji Malusare. It stars Ajay Devgn in the titular role along with Saif Ali Khan and Kajol in the lead roles.

It also features Sharad Kelkar and Luke Kenny in the pivotal roles. Set in the 17th century, the film revolves around Tanaji’s attempts to recapture the Kondhana fortress. Once it passes on to Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Consequently, he transfers its control to his trusted guard Udaybhan Singh Rathore.

Salaam Namaste

A quirky take on life and relationships as it looks at a fairy tale with a bit of a squint and an endearing look at what being in love really means. Salaam Namaste is a 2005 Indian romantic comedy film. It is directed by first-time director Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra and Yash Chopra. The film stars Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta in their fourth film together. Arshad Warsi, Tania Zaetta and Jugal Hansraj appear in supporting roles. As a result, it was the first Indian movie to be filmed entirely in Australia
