  1. Alia Bhatt in 2 States

Wittyvows

Alia Bhatt looked absolutely stunning as a South Indian bride, Ananya. The evergreen red Banarsi silk lehenga, a matching red dupatta with traditional south Indian jewellery, what more could a bride ask for. The choker style neckpiece, temple earrings, hands full of bangles, a small mang tikka and a statement kamarband completed her look. Moreover, her minimalistic makeup with bright red lips complemented her attire completely.

2. Kalki Koechlin in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani (YJHD)

Wittyvows

Every bride has at least once dreamt of a wedding like that of Aditi (played by Kalki) in YJHD. Her bright red embroidered lehenga with a sexy choli and a matching red dupatta is a total steal. The golden work on the sides of the dupatta adds a hint of colour to the outfit. Her simple yet elegant makeup was perfectly matched. Aditi wears a beautiful polki necklace set and mang tikka to finish her bridal look.

3. Kareena Kapoor Khan in Veerey Di Wedding

Quirky yet effortless is what defines Kareena’s wedding attire in the film. The modern Indian bride looked ravishing in the yellow embellished lehenga with an off-shoulder fringed top and an off-beat dupatta. From the makeup to the jewellery, everything was kept super elegant. She donned only a single line choker pearl necklace and skipped other pieces of jewellery. We admire the loose bun with real flowers and is major hair goals for modern brides.

4. Anushka Sharma in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Alizeh Khan aka Anushka Sharma redefined the meaning of royal with her onion-peach shade short kurta teamed with a red lehenga that she wore as a bride in ADHM. The detailed gold and zari work was all over. A heavy polki set with a traditional passa and nath added to the elegance of the ensemble. Not one, but two dupattas completed Anushka’s look; heavy embroidered one in the front and a simple net dupatta that she took on her forehead. Her entire look left us gasping for more.

5. Deepika Padukone in Chennai Express

A south Indian bride, Deepika dorns a beautiful red and gold kanjeevaram silk saree. A traditional gold kamarband with matha patti, red bangles and layered neckpiece surely made her a heavenly bride. Our favourite was her centre-parted bun covered entirely with real white flowers, called gajra. Her maroon-red lip colour gave the perfect pout.
