Ri-Ri is that name in the entertainment industry that stands for tenacious, headstrong, fierce and everything that a woman looks up to. Rihanna has established herself as one of the most celebrated artists, not only because of her thriving musical career but as she has also earned the stature of a badass pagan symbol amongst her fans and other luminaries alike.

The 9 times Grammy award-winning artist has been known for her prodigious vocals, gossip manufacturing love affairs and now for the successful business empire that she has built, that is, Fenty. She is no less than an inspiration for the women across the globe and has relentlessly showcased her efforts towards bringing about women on a higher pedestal and wider acceptance for themselves as they are.

Though it wasn’t R9, Rihanna still surprised everyone by releasing ‘Rihannazine’, this last Monday on 20th January. The magazine is a special collaboration of Rihanna with i-D magazine, which is a bimonthly British magazine devoted to fashion, music, art, and youth culture. This exclusive edition is a collection of interviews with some dynamic females of the era that has been curated and co-created by the pop star herself in association with the magazine. The esteemed list of interviewees consists of bigshot names like Emmy-winning multi-hyphenate Lena Waithe, supermodel sisters; Gigi and Bella Hadid, RuPaul’s Drag Race breakout Vanessa Vanjie Mateo, celebrity dancer/choreographer Parris Goebel, and many other established and rising stars.

“For me, this very special issue of i-D represents change and culture,” Rihanna said about Rihannazine in a statement. “It is dedicated to some of the people who are progressively reshaping the communities across fashion, music, art, and activism – creating a more inclusive and diverse future.”  A total of 44 interviews by Rihanna can be accessed online, while the physical copies of the limited edition are available for pre-order now.
