Deepika Padukone is all set to make her mark on the silver screen yet again. The much-awaited film showcasing the story of an acid attack survivor. Deepika will be seen playing the role of Malti, inspired by a real-life acid attack survivor whose name is Laxmi Agarwal. The trailer of the film is out already and it looks immensely promising. The trailer was aptly released on the World Human Rights Day. Coming from the makers of superhit films like Raazi and Talvar, the film Chhapaak is expected to be a success too. The trailer introduces the film as, “A story of trauma and triumph and the unquashable human spirit.”
Vikrant Massay is seen playing the character of Amol. It is Amol who helps Malti fight all the struggles and even supports her through her journey to get the sale of acid prohibited. A sweet love story between Malti and Amol can also be discerned through the trailer. The trailer majorly highlights Malti’s struggle to get the sale of acid in check by authorities to prevent any further such incidents. The trailer is powerful and speaks of the dire struggles of Malti.
