Culmination — Day 5 At Lakme Fashion Week

The last day of the five-day fashion festivities at the Lakme Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2019 was nothing short of a grand affair. A whole lot of buzz-worthy designers and celebrities created an aura of grandiosity and adventure on the ramp. Thus, the grand finale of the fashion week got as hot as it could! The designer lineup for the final day was as – Punit Balana, Rajdeep Ranawat, Rina Dhaka, Divya Rajvir, Disha Patil, and Gauri & Nainika, among others.

Malaika Arora walked for Divya Rajvir in a wine coloured, floral deep plunging neckline choli and a matching lehenga with a thigh-high slit. The designer’s collection was inspired by roses. The emblem of romance: the majestic rose infatuated the designer to craft this poetic line of neo-Indian separates donned by Malaika. Each look was graphically flourished with hand-drawn roses celebrating the mystic magic of love. Shilpa Shetty also walked the ramp for Punit Balana, whose creations for his collection ‘Rabari’ were inspired the women of the tribe of rabari.

Kangana Ranaut was the showstopper for Disha Patil and stole the limelight in a dusty grey lehenga with silver embellishments and satin one-shoulder blouse. Patil’s collection ‘The Interpretation of Love’ was inspired by the love shared in the process of getting wed. The entire collection drew inspiration from Turkey’s colours and cultures. Rajdeep Ranwat’s collection named ‘Sindh’ drew inspiration from the bygone Mughal era to create some stunning ethnic pieces for the ramp walk. Rina Dhaka’s collection was dedicated to plus-sized women as Vahbiz Dorabjee and Delnaz Irani walked the ramp for the designer.

Esha Deol teamed up with her baby daughter to walk the ramp for Hamleys India ramp walk for children’s wear. The whole act was appreciated for being super cute and adorable.

The show closed with the blockbuster ramp show by Gauri & Nainika, the star attraction being the diva herself — Kareena Kapoor Khan. Kareena sizzled on the ramp in the black off-shoulder gown with tulle detailing around the neckline and below the waistline. She looked like a dream as she broke the internet with her killer looks on the ramp.
