“Hair is everything. We wish it wasn’t so we could actually think about something else occasionally. But it is. It’s the difference between a good day and a bad day.”

This quote from Fleabag best describes the importance of hair in a person’s life.  A lot of things depend on hair. For example, one’s mood, one’s confidence level, and other things, too. Curly hair is the best thing that could ever happen to you. They enhance your personality and make you look more confident and appealing. But sometimes they can be a little infuriating because it is a bit challenging to cope with them. Sometimes you even start wishing that you had silky straight hair.

Curly hair gets all frizzy and rough with the change of weather. And they get very intolerable in humid weather. So, it is understandable why you would want to have straight hair. But don’t you worry! Here we introduce you to the most effective and efficient ways to treat and protect your hair from the harsh environment.

Curly hair has different styles and textures. So, first, know what your hair type is. Curly hair gets more crinkled and coarse because they lack moisture. Once you know your hair type it will get easy for you to treat your hair accordingly. Make sure your hair is properly nourished.

It is irresponsible to think that you can manage your curls without doing the pre-shampoo treatment.  Conditioning is major for curly hair than shampoo part.  Shampoo makes your hair dry. So, condition your curly hair more often as they will keep them moistened. Leave the conditioner for about 20 minutes and then rinse the hair nicely. Do not put it on the scalp as conditioner harms the scalp. Pre-shampooing will untangle your hair and clear the dirt off them.

Conditioning curly hair is fine but it is not suggested that you should leave the shampooing process. It gets a little more demanding to wash curly hair. Go for a shampoo that is specifically made for curly hair and has very mild toxic chemicals. Chemicals like sulfates and alcohol can actually damage your scalp. So, before buying the shampoo look for sulfate-free products.

People who have curly hair are very much familiar with the friskiness they have in their hair when they wake in the morning. Still, brushing or combing curly hair is a big no. If you comb them they will get frizzier and will not look good. You can use the comb that is wide-toothed and then untangle your curly hair but not very often. Avoid combing wet hair.

Pro tip- Steer clear of hot water when you wash your hair. Hot water makes hair drier and causes dandruff.  Cold water cleans hair more deeply and it keeps your scalp healthy.

Oiling your hair is necessary as it nourishes your hair and also improves the blood circulation in your head. It depends on which oil you are using to massage your curly hair. Castor oil, coconut oil, or olive oil are one of the best oils for them. These oils are not that greasy as compared to the other oils. Deeply massage your scalp with an appropriate amount of oil. Do the massaging part an hour before washing your hair.

Therefore, you can guard your perfect curls against all the dust and friskiness. Consider all these points for managing your curly hair. You will start feeling the change, a positive change I must say, in your hair.
