On the sixth day of the ongoing India Couture Week, designer Gaurav Gupta unfurled oodles of glamour at the runway. His Couture 19’ collection draws inspiration from endless waves which is cosmic, fluid, sculptural yet boundless and eternal. The exquisite ensembles were fashioned into beautiful architectonic creations. The creations were harmonised with extraordinary designs which subsequently personified ‘Wearable Art’.

The collection aimed at decoding the human anatomy in fluid assemblage, from voluminously wide to tiered to perpendicularly slim and narrow silhouettes. The designer made use of abstract lines, fluid and unusual wave-like silhouettes and drapes which elevated the look of the ensembles to an all-new level.

The collection was sophisticated as well as sultry. Birds, wings, feathers, flowers and waves added a dash of grace to the collection. The journey of being one with nature was explored through multi-dimensional construction and forms, adding a whole new vibe to sophisticated couture. The colour palette of the designer included pastels, ranging from silver-grey, tea green, rosewood, soft violet to lilac.

Models sashayed down the runway like a bride waltzing in the prismatic corridors of the Hall of Mirrors. All in all, the designer Gaurav Gupta added another day filled with exoticism and mystique to the India Couture Week 2019.
