Jodhpur

Thrillophilia

This beautiful city, the second-largest city in Rajasthan is popularly known as the Blue City. The name is also clearly befitting as most of the architecture – forts, palaces, temples, havelis and even houses are built in vivid shades of blue. The strapping forts that hence tower this magnificent city sum up to a spectacle you would not want to miss. The mammoth, imposing fortress of Mehrangarh has a landscape dominating a rocky ridge with the eight gates leading out of the fortress. The new city is located outside the structure. Jodhpur is also known for the rare breed of horses known as Marwari or Malani, which are only found here.

Ooty

locales
Travel Triangle

This is located in the Western Ghats zone at an altitude of 2240 meters. It is the headquarters of the Nilgiri District, where the two mountain ranges meet. Udhagamandalam, popularly called as OOTY by the tourist, is the Queen of Hill Stations. Centuries ago this was also called as Oththai-Kal [single stone] Mandu [ Mund is a name of Toda Village]. The British started calling it as Ootacamund. Coffee and Tea Plantations and trees like Conifers, Eucalyptus, Pine and Wattle dot the hillside in Udhagamandalam and its environs.

Puducherry

The Hindu

Away from the hustle and bustle of big cities, Puducherry is a quiet little town. One on the southern coast of India. The unmistakable French connection, the tree-lined boulevards, the quaint colonial heritage buildings, the spiritual sceneries, the endless stretches of unspoilt virgin beaches and backwaters and a surprising choice of restaurants serving a melange of cuisines provide a heady mix of experience that draws travellers from near and far to the city. It is also the perfect place to come if you want to take the pace of life down a few notches.

Manali

TripSavvy

Once called the “end of the habitable world,” Manali is an important hill station. One of northern India and is the destination of thousands of tourists every year. Its cool atmosphere also provides a perfect haven for the ones afflicted by the hot Indian summers. Besides offering quite a few places for sightseeing, Manali is also famous for adventure sports. These include skiing, hiking, mountaineering, paragliding, rafting, trekking, kayaking, and mountain biking. In brief, therefore, Manali-the veritable “valley of the Gods”-is an ideal place for the ones in search of both adventure and comfort. (Source: Tourism of India)

Darjeeling

Darjeeling Riders

The city conjures visions of snow peaks, the serenity of vibrant green hills steeped in splendour, a land of breathtaking beauty crowned by the majestic Himalayas. Darjeeling is also one of the most magnificent hill resorts in the world. This heavenly retreat bathes hence in hues of every shade. Flaming red rhododendrons, sparkling white magnolias, miles of undulating hillsides covered with emerald green tea bushes, the exotic forests of silver fir – all under the blanket of a brilliant azure sky dappled with specks of clouds, compellingly confounds Darjeeling as the QUEEN OF HILL STATIONS. The crest of Kanchenjunga also shining in the first dawn light truly supports the title.
