And what a year this has been. 2019 was a parody of the 90s and 80s era fashion where clothing, styling and beauty trends went all retro. From printed shirts to baggy jackets — the entire year saw a vibrant throwback to the good-old retro fashion. Our favourite global style icons also did not fail to imbibe the retro vibe in their clothing and style. Some styles, in fact, caught on better with the celebs and are sure to inspire your wardrobes as well. Here is a list of styles that totally ruled 2019.

Think retro fashion, wear polka dots. White polkas on black clothing are the ultimate throwback style of dressing. A lot of looks in 2019 featured polkas — from large to small. Joe Keery styled it with a black leather jacket and looked like a style guru in this snapshot.

3. Micro Sunglasses

Micro sunglasses have been trending since the end of 2018. The style just roared in 2019. From our favourite celebrities to all the influencers, micro-sunglasses found a way into everybody’s wardrobes. Bella Hadid has rocked this trend every now and then.

The print-on-print style has evolved a big fan list in 2019. A lot of celebrities styled the printed blazer on printed pants to every event from a red carpet to social gatherings. Our favourite Gucci boy Harry Styles too wore this trend with style.

5. Military Prints

Military prints are the best way with which one can remember the fashion of ‘90s. Look at Rihanna styling the trend in a short sweater dress. 2019 saw a comeback of this style, especially in trousers.
