FDCI Presents Inherit 2019: Inheritance of Gain

The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) presented a unique showcasing at Inherit 2019 with robust modern tales. The fashion presentation which was held at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Sunder Nursery Heritage Park in New Delhi featured almost 20 style gurus. It was a two-day festival on December 7 and December 8, 2019, was a part of the Inherit Festival that took place today. The presentation will boast of almost 100 exhibitors making it a heady amalgamation of craft, design, fashion, lifestyle and heritage tourism.

The fiesta was divided into two segments; the first presentation was lined with 21 designers who showcased four colour categories, namely, white/ivory, earthy, indigo and the sari. Participating designers included AM:PM, Amita Gupta Sustainable, Asha Gautam, Charu Parashar, DHI, Diksha Khanna, Divya Sheth, Elisha Wadhwani, Geisha Designs by Paras & Shalini, Ikai by Ragini Ahuja, Ilk, Mynah’s Reynu Taandon, Nitin Bal Chauhan, Pawan Sachdeva, Payal Jain, Rahul Mishra, Siddhartha Bansal, Suman Nathwani, SVA by Sonam & Paras, TAANI by Tanira Sethi and Urvashi Kaur. The grand finale of sorts was by the iconic duo, David Abraham and Rakesh Thakore of Abraham & Thakore, who enlivened the balmy afternoon with a handloom soiree.

“We are delighted to collaborate with Inherit 2019 that brings to fore the beauty of handwoven wonders and contemporary musings through the visionary palette of our participating designers.  FDCI’s show is a tribute to the meeting of several disciplines of design through the medium of arts and crafts that will be exhibited in the two-day festival,” said FDCI Chairman Sunil Sethi.  

FDCI curated the best of Indian fashion for the event and brought together a variety of designers together to put up a marvellous show.
