Vaishali S

Since the inception, the brand has been committed to handloom weavers and worked with over 900 weavers and explored 14 different techniques of weaving from various Indian states. Henceforth, the designer’s SS’21 collection was an experience of rebirth. Life began in water. It is here that the sensation of depth and a surreal unknown world lies. As a result, the collection highlighted this in forms of corals. Creating a distinct feel of being born again in the slow.
Rajesh Pratap Singh
Designer Rajesh Pratap Singh’s collection ‘Fall. ing . 2020’ was a contemporary edit with bright pastel hues. And an extensive use of hand block printing techniques. Handloom, glass cotton proprietory weaves from our textile unit in Neemrana and silk satins comprise the fabrics used in the collection. Signature pintucks and his classic whites make an appearance as well. As a result, Rajesh’s garments have always transcended the passage of time, hence his designs are as relevant today as they were when created. Thus, this itself is his philosophy in response to sustainability.
Nitin Bal Chauhan
Nitin Bal Chauhan’s collection NAEVUS at the fashion week was inspired by the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The massacre occurred on 13 April 1919. Therefore, hints of colonial references fused with military inspired detailing was prominent in the collection. Victorian collars and cuffs, exaggerated sleeves combined with signature 3D embroidery were used. Therefore, bright red hues of the British army uniforms to soft tones of nude form the colour palette. Artworks done by the designer for the collection were seen as bold prints. As a result, grunge textures, detailed hand embroideries combined with bold military styling reminded of the past.
