Wedding Affair extends its heartiest congratulation to Saurabh Bakshi, General Manager of Operations, Sheraton Grand Macao Hotel, Cotai Central and The St. Regis Grand Macao, Cotai Central on being awarded the Macao’s Best General Manager(Hospitality), at the CMO Asia Awards for the second year running. 

Mr Bakshi oversees all aspects of hotel operations at The Sheraton Grand Macao- the largest hotel in Marriot INternational’s property portfolio with 4,001 rooms as well as 400-room St. Regis Macao, Cotai Central in his role as GMO.

“It goes without saying that Saurabh is an integral part of the management team, and when operating a property on our size and scale, Saurabh’s expertise and leadership skills in such a broad-reaching role are a rare find – and that’s what this award recognises,” Ms McNab said.

Saurabh is from Jammu and Kashmir and has earlier worked with renowned hotel chains of India like Leela Kempinski, Grand Hyatt and Sheraton. Saurabh moved to Macao from the award-winning Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel.

His experience and expertise stretch to writing numerous articles on leadership and mentoring many associates throughout his career. His belief that an effective leader leads from behind, allowing associates to move forward is much appreciated. His continuous thirst for knowledge is important to Saurabh who never stops in his quest to develop himself. 

Mr Bakshi said it was an honour to receive the award, with its focus on the importance of leadership.

“It is an honour to receive this award for the second year in a row – I am a big believer of effective leadership, whether it’s through steering teams through challenging situations or mentoring the next generation of leaders,” Mr Bakshi said.
