It’s not new for Hrithik Roshan to steal our hearts with his acting, dance moves and irresistible good looks.
Happy birthday Duggu! The Bollywood poster boy of good looks just turned 51 today. For over two decades, Hrithik Roshan has been synonymous with an allrounder superstar in the film industry. He is a brilliant actor, a marvellous dancer, and unsurprisingly a stylish good-looking man. Known as the ‘Greek God of Bollywood’, Hrithik has played multiple characters that have set benchmarks for fashion relevant to today. He is still a fitness and fashion goal for us. There are hardly any GenZ fashion lovers who have not tried to imitate one or two looks of Hrithik Roshan and danced in front of the mirror. I know, I did it too.
With that in mind, let’s celebrate our favourite Hrithik Roshan’s birthday with 5 of his most stylish characters.
Raj from Kaho Naa Pyar Hai
We are going to start with the movie where it all began. Marking an exceptional debut, probably the most iconic one in Bollywood history, Kaho Naa Pyar Hai starred the young Hrithik Roshan in a double role, Rohit and Raj. While Rohit was a next-door neighbour core boy with denim shirts layered over tank tops and loose plaid shirts, Raj was the one who truly created some iconic fashion moments. The Richie-rich Raj appeared on screen in a black mesh t-shirt with biker sunglasses and a bandana in Ek Pal Ka Jeena creating a style wave among the youth of the country. The frameless glasses, the red jacket, the high waist denim–all of it made Hrithik a style star overnight.
Rohan from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham
We could all relate when Queen Poo validated Rohan for his good looks, good looks and good looks. Hrithik Roshan in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham was an absolute treat to watch. Flaunting his gorgeous muscles, Hrithik made sleeveless leather jackets and sports vests a moment that can still be recreated today. His cool and sexy aura established the fact that boys can look equally hot in sleeveless, if you have arms like Hrithik of course. The turtleneck sweaters, the slim sunglasses–sambhalo sambhalo na pyar ho!
Aryan from Dhoom 2
Is Aryan the hottest villain in Bollywood ever? We think so. Hrithik Roshan made his mark with ‘Aryan’ in the Yash Raj classic Dhoom 2 and gave us so many fashion moments. The fact that his character was a cosplayer to steal the most valuable things, was a cherry on top. Hrithik nailed the biker boy style in this movie with scarves, bandanas, jackets and sunglasses. And who can forget the open shirts to show off his flawless abs? It was Aryan’s ad boy style that won Hrithik the “Sexiest Man Alive in India” title.
Arjun from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
After the chocolate boy, the biker boy and the bad boy, it’s time for the sophisticated workaholic Arjun in the iconic Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. Hrithik Roshan plays the money-obsessed guy who takes his work a little too seriously. He made wearing semi-formal to a trip with friends to Europe look cooler than you expect. His muted shirts, classy vests, denims and chinos are fine examples of pulling off the low-key suave guy look.
Kabir from War
Kabir, the hot a RAW agent gone rogue in War was all about serving jaw-dropping good looks. Hrithik Roshan got ripped for the movie and didn’t miss a chance to give us a glimpse of his muscles with his outfits. Tight t-shirts that hug his arms oh-so-perfectly, cargo pants to dial up the ruggedness and grey hair–Kabir set some new classics in men’s fashion. When the actor was not being all rough and tough, he flaunted a soft and cool lover boy look in the songs with bright and breezy shirts, layered chains and fedora. Talk about balance!
