Jayanti Reddy
Designer Jayanti Reddy presented her collection ‘Evocative Nawabi Canvas’ at ICW 2024. Hailing from the culturally rich town of Hyderabad, she has often turned to Nawabi inspirations like their ornate high jewellery and larger-than-life closets. Her latest collection comprised 40 seminal looks featuring heritage textiles with antique motifs. Revisiting the country’s royal past, each piece featured traditional embroideries inspired by the lavish lifestyles of the royals of Hyderabad. The collection included a variety of outfits from lehengas, shararas, sarees, gowns, sherwanis, and kurtas in colours like pastels, red, black, purple, pink and more.
Explaining her collection Jayanti said: “My collection is called ‘threads to legacy’, and it is inspired by the Nawabs and Nizams. I am from Hyderabad, and the city is so culturally rich.”
Bollywood actress and Heeramandi charm Aditi Rao Hydari turned showstopper for Jayanti Reddy’s showcase at ICW 2024. Considering the actress’ regal portrayal of Bibbojaan in the popular series she was the perfect choice to dazzle the runway in a gold contemporary sharara set. Featuring a long-sleeve blouse with a dipped neckline and pleated detailing, she paired it with palazzo-style flared trousers. Completing the look with a statement choker necklace and a bold red lip, the actress looked like a Nizami royalty.
Talking about her ensemble and the collection the actress said, “I am happy that Jayanti has picked something contemporary in her silhouettes. It’s so chill and so fun, and her work with shimmer is really beautiful and so rooted in India and its traditions. The zardozi, beadwork, and intricate threadwork make it traditional with a huge sense of being relaxed in the contemporary. It reflects the rich legacy of Hyderabad’s craftsmanship.”
Additionally, the prominent designer partnered with the ever-popular jewellery brand Kishandas Jewellery to accessorise her outfits, adding that extra touch of grandeur to them. With a cream-coloured set and classical tunes, the Jayanti Reddy showcase was a walk back into the Nizami heritage of the country and all things fashion.

Gaurav Gupta Couture
Renowned designer Gaurav Gupta presented his enchanting collection ‘Arunodaya’ at ICW 2024. Derived from the Sanskrit words ‘Arun’, meaning dawn, and ‘Udaya’, meaning rise or daybreak, Arunodaya signifies the early dawn, symbolising hope, renewal, and infinite possibilities. This captivating phenomenon, where the first light of day breaks the darkness, is the essence of Gaurav Gupta’s India couture collection. It captured the serene tones of early morning with white, ivory pearl, comet blue, petal pink, mauve, slate, sand, Bordeaux, and lava, blending tradition with innovation.
Intricate embroideries, including Indian zardozi, cage embroidery, and colourful details, bring the dawn narrative to life. Sheer fabrics evoked the lightness of dawn, while high-end couture pieces like opulent lehengas, saree gowns, and draped sarees showcased the designer’s craftsmanship and innovative spirit.
Archies actors Khushi Kapoor and Vedang Raina turned showstoppers for Gaurav Gupta at the ICW 2024. Khushi donned a sand-hued outfit including a fitted mermaid skirt and an off-shoulder blouse with sleeves, paired with a shoulder cape. The ensemble was adorned with thousands of dripping crystals, pearls, and zardozi embroidery, making her look like a modern-day princess. Vedang looked dashing in a black velvet long jacket featuring intricate refraction embroidery.
Khushi expressed her elation over her runway debut, saying, “Walking for Gaurav for my debut walk is like stepping into an ethereal dream. His designs seamlessly blend fantasy with reality, and being a part of his journey is truly an honour.” Vedang praised the designer’s art saying, “Gaurav’s visionary artistry is unparalleled. His ability to transform fabric into wearable art is extraordinary. I am thrilled to be a part of his vision and this collection.”
“Arunodaya is a celebration of new beginnings and the endless possibilities that come with them. Khushi and Vedang embody the spirit of this collection with their grace and charisma, bringing the essence of dawn to life on the runway,” commented the designer on his choice of the new age showstoppers.
The designer partnered with Anmol Jewellers to accessorise his innovative creations. The jewellery brand launched its new collection, ‘Revé: Dream Couture’ on the runway. The models walked the runway ahead of a mudra backdrop created by the A-Cube Project and it was the hard work and craftsmanship of all these helping hands that made the showcase a success.
