The main event for the 18th India International Film Awards (IIFA) took place in New York on Sunday. Bollywood stars including Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Shahid Kapoor walked the green carpet leaving everyone awestruck. This years IIFA was hosted by Saif Ali Khan and Karan Johar.
The IIFA ’17, Green Carpet saw a vibrant mix of trends. Here is our list of the best dressed celebrities at the event.
Alia Bhatt not only ruled the award show by winning the award for the Best Actress, but was undoubtedly the queen of the Green Carpet. The Udta Punjab actress wore a studded black strapless gown, with a plunging neckline, designed by Zuhair Murad. A day earlier, she was seen wearing a pristine white, Manish Malhotra lehenga to the IIFA Rocks Event.
Katrina Kaif looked stunning in a powder blue, Zaid Nakad gown. Styled by Tanya Ghavri, she accessorized her look with a diamond ring from Nirav Modi and earrings from John Hardy’s collection. She kept her hair side swept and make up minimal.
Disha Patani wore a Falguni and Shane Peacock creation, silver sheer gown, which had a thigh high slit. She completed the look with an embellished body chain and nude makeup.
Nargis Fakhri walked the green carpet wearing an oxblood coloured Gauri and Nainika gown, with a side parted messy hairdo. She paired the look with hoop earrings from Isarya.
Shilpa Shetty wore just the right amount of bling on the Green carpet, in a custom rose gold Monisha Jaising gown. With a cape flowing one side, she flaunted her legs in the thigh high slit dress. She accessorized the look with statement earrings from L’Dezen by Payal Shah.
The Akira actress was a complete head turner at the Green Carpet in a body hugging LaBourjoisie red gown. The dress had a plunging neckline along with a sheer yolk panel. She completed the look with a pair of stunning Chopard drop earrings.
Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput
Bollywood’s “IT” couple walked the Green Carpet radiating grace and chemistry. While Shahid Kapoor wore a customized Anju Madan ensemble with a grey suit and black shirt, Mira Rajput looked like a dream in an orange Swapnil Shinde gown, paired with minimal makeup and a pair of delicate earrings.
The IIFA host, stood out in a black tuxedo which had an elaborate golden crest across it. He took this combination of black and gold a step further, completing the look with eye catching golden shoes.
Varun Dhawan turned up in a dapper Emporio Armani tuxedo with a white Gucci shirt which had embroidered cuffs. He paired the tuxedo with a Gucci bow tie and Yves Saint Laurent shoes.
Priety Zinta walked the Green Carpet with her husband Gene Goodenough. She brought classic back to the Green Carpet in a Gauri and Nainika black peplum dress that she paired with statement diamond drop earrings.
