If you didn’t know already, Prateik Babbar and Priya Banerjee got married in an intimate ceremony on February 14th, 2025. The couple looked strikingly handsome in custom Tarun Tahiliani couture. While Priya looked gorgeous in the corset saree gown, one of the signature styles of the ace designer, it was Prateik who set a trend for future grooms with his out-of-the-box style.

The late Smita Patil’s son, Prateik wore a pre-stitched charmeuse dhoti that is draped in a traditional manner but highlights fine contemporary tailoring. He paired this dhoti with a silk drape shirt, loose fit and having a dangerously low neckline The neckline is seamless as it lets Pratiek’s layered pearl necklace shine on his skin. A pleated silk kamarbandh created a break for vision at the groom’s waist. It not only accentuated his waist but also brought the whole outfit together beautifully. Talk about a statement look for a one–of–a–kind groom.

What made the already great look even better was how the outfit seamlessly turned into a traditional wedding attire with a luxurious sherwani jacket. This piece of art was intricately hand-embroidered with chikankari details, giving it a regal touch for the groom to carry. The delicate French knots are a perfect addition to the attire. Prateik Babbar chose to personalise his jewels, with the necklace adorned in Swarovski ivory pearls and floral motifs, looking like a modern-day king with every bit of it.
