Actress Janhvi Kapoor made her Cannes debut last night. With her look, she paid homage to her mother, the late actress Sridevi, bringing back vintage Bollywood glamour at the esteemed International event. The diva walked the red carpet for her upcoming film Homebound alongside co-stars Ishaan Khatter and Vishal Jethwa, director Neeraj Ghaywan, and producer Karan Johar.
Janhvi chose a custom Tarun Tahiliani attire, consisting of a corset, skirt and a wrapped-around dupatta, crafted from real tissue from Benaras. The fabric manipulation done on the outfit through a hand-crushed technique adds a level of depth and dimension that represents the exquisite craftsmanship India is known for. Signature TT draping paired with Rhea Kapoor’s styling, the whole look has something very raw and authentic left behind on the Cannes carpet.
Janhvi Kapoor finished her stunning look with strands of pearls from Chopard, a sleek bun and a pink monochromatic makeup look featuring highlighted cheekbones and fuller rose lips.
