A star-studded night at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week 25th Anniversary Gala, Kareena Kapoor Khan stunned in custom Manish Malhotra.
This year’s FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week was a milestone in Indian fashion history as the prestigious fashion event completed its 25th year. The gala night to celebrate the monumental moment was nothing short of a dazzling bash, paying homage to the redefined creativity and rich tapestry of art and culture our fashion industry has been providing for decades. An unforgettable night, the gala hosted by Lakme, the Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI), and Reliance Brands, celebrated fashion with 30 esteemed designers showcasing their archival collections while celebrities graced the front seats.
Lakme Fashion Week 25th Anniversary Gala started with a tribute to the couture visionaries, including Rajesh Pratap, JJ Valaya, Varun Bahl, Manish Malhotra, Ashish Soni, Namrata Joshipura, Ritu Kumar, Tarun Tahiliani and many more, who have shaped the industry with their creation. Actor and producer Kal Penn hosted the evening, bringing a touch of Hollywood glamour to the show.

Many Bollywood celebrities walked the ramp at this year’s Lakme Fashion Week. But superstar Kareena Kapoor Khan returning to the runway for the gala stole the show. She looked stunning in a custom Manish Malhotra all-ivory lace drape-saree. She opened the show with a speech filled with nostalgia, talking about how she has walked as a size zero as well as with a baby bump on the runway of LFW.
30 celebrated designers, including the ones who had headlined Lakme Grand Finale in previous years, setting new standards for beauty and fashion in the country, came together and showcased their iconic creations on the gala night. Their brilliance is what enhanced the grandeur of this milestone celebration.
Among the stars, iconic Lakme faces such as Lisa Ray, Lisa Haydon, Indrani Dasgupta, Sarah Jane Dias, Shimona Nath and Archana Akil Kumar returned to the ramp and walked for these esteemed couturiers.
