Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini hits the high seas as it teams up with the Italian Sea Group to produce a 63-foot super yacht – Tecnomar. Lamborghini announced on Tuesday that it designed a luxury speedboat called the “Tecnomar for Lamborghini 63”. The Italian Sea Group, popular for its yacht brands Admiral and Tecnomar, collaborates with Lamborghini’s Centro Stile for this. Also, they drew inspiration from the Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 to develop the new motor yacht.

This superyacht has a design to reach a top speed of 60 knots. Hence, this draws power from its twin V12, 2,000 horsepower engines. The yacht draws inspiration from the Lamborghini Sian — the company’s first hybrid car. The 3.4-million-dollar yacht is also not strictly the first boat on which Lamborghini has collaborated (the company provided engines for others in the 1960s). So, it is the first yacht on which the brand has led the design, Bloomberg reported.

Forbes reports that Stefano Domenicali, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini said: “This yacht represents the significance of creating a valuable partnership, at its best: our co-operation allows the essence of both organizations’ style and expertise to be transferred to different worlds, sharing in their diversity to interpret and add value to the final product in a new environment. If I had to imagine a Lamborghini on water, this would be my vision. I feel the delight in celebrating this successful collaboration.”

The boat will have a build of carbon fibre and weigh 24 tons, a veritable lightweight, considering its 63-foot length. The vessels contain elements directly inspired by Lamborghini cars. Such as the special stretch “carbon skin” that the team of Maurizio Reggiani, Lamborghini’s chief technical officer, uses. He does it in the brand’s sports seats and steering wheels. That material will be in the seats, steering wheel, and the helm of the boat, which even takes its clean line and aggressive edge design cues from the “lowly” (when compared to the Sián) Huracan sportscar.
