Day 4 of the Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2020 started with an interesting line of designers ready to showcase their work at the runway.
The Lovebirds Spring Summer 2020 collection has its theme, well-deserved leisure after a good workout session. That sensation of quite a buzz is captured in the form of our SS20 clothes, ‘ath-leisure’. Inspired by Debra Smith’s fabric collages and Robert Motherwell’s Ab Ex NY paper works, our collection aspires to what Motherwell meant by ‘absolutely modern’, which is in a sense of being timeless. When it all comes together, the collection celebrates the freedom of being in the moment – it’s yet another ‘love one, love all’ collection.
Bareek presented #IntergalacticLuum: Amalgamating two distinct craft elements, namely Jamdhani from West Bengal and Ikat from Telangana, the zany yet sharp collection propels itself straight out of a self-written graphic sci-fi novel titled ‘Intergalactic Luum’. Inspired by the motifs reminiscent of old-school arcade games, the collection features distant star clusters, exacting aerial battles, mysterious nebulas and a certain lone ranger named LUUM, all of which find a place in this space saga.

Collection by NOTEBOOKÂ presents Workwear and casuals inspired by Indian and Middle-East. SS20 celebrates the Millenials spirit of achieving a sense of balance in their lives. The collection is a balance of sophisticated formal cuts and utilitarian details with pops of colour and comfort.
Sameer Madan’s S/S20 encapsulates or rather entraps a periodic transition. This spring/ summer we make the old meet the new, concocting a melange of the renaissance with the cosmopolitan. An emotion as timeless as each individual design. The renegade of fusion folklore as we embark upon this reminiscent journey and contribute our a little token to the “time capsule”.
