The event kick-started with Aneeth Arora’s opening show presenting the ensembles of her label “Pero”; followed by a display of several Australian emerging collection labels like “Cassandra Harper” and “Romance was born”. This year’s theme is inclusively all about imperfections whether in terms of weight, the colour of your skin or the choice and gender of your partner. FDCI has given the liberty to 40 designers across the country to interpret and present their ensembles inspired from the ‘Rainbow’ theme in support of the LGBTQ Community.

Anupama Dayal promoted her collection ‘Anupamaa’ inspired by the Japanese culture with a colourful showcase. Dayal’s collection was a mix and match of patchwork and bright prints with a spectrum of hues, giving a glimpse of a rainbow one after another. The day was closed by innovative and inclusive collections by Ashish N. Soni, Rajesh Pratap Singh as well as Rahul Khanna and Rohit Gandhi.
