While day 2 of the FDCI sponsored Lotus Makeup India Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2019 was whopping elegance in florals and pastels. Day 3 had a more aesthetic approach to the show. Revealing a deeper mindset of the designers through flattering silhouettes the show left a captivating impact. Engulfed betwixt trees and abundance of polka dots, the show was a fashion realm.
Athiya Shetty stole hearts when she walked the ramp for Porshpride by Prerna Khetrapal titled ‘La Mariposa’, a fusing collection of masculine sartorial with feminine sensibilities creating ethereal aesthetics in a palette of vibrant colours. Amrita Khanna and Gursi Singh’s collection ‘Lovebirds’ was a display of modern yet contemporary clothing for women introduced in sheer organza and silk fabrics. The sustainable collection ‘The Sound of Silence’ by Payal Pratap was a line of day dresses, cropped wide-legged trousers and jackets in motifs of leaves woven into fabrics.
It was a collection of various shades of green with hints of pink, mustard and blues. ‘Garden Rose’ by Architha Narayanam was show-stopped by Prachi Desai. It was an Iranian Qashqai tribe inspired emphasizing their embroidery craftsmanship. While Yami Gautam walked the runway for ‘Warp n Weft’, Tabu impressed all with her ravishing look by Sanjukta. She wore a saree that enhanced feminism and elegance of women in all walks of life. It was a dark-hued saree with embroidery paired up with a black blouse. She created a statement with red lips and a high top bun. ‘Dejhoor’ collection by WNW was a blend of finest Kashmiri adornments with Victorian motifs to ensure a regal appeal.
