Shah Rukh Khan came and conquered at the Met Gala 2025; Kiara Advani flaunted the baby bump and Diljit Dosanjh brought royalty on the carpet.

The Met Gala 2025 was a memorable affair for the Indians. Like every other year, fashion lovers across the world were waiting for their favourite stars to show up and pose on the iconic carpet. The Team Wedding Affair was no different.

This year’s theme for the Met was “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” and the accompanying dress code was “Tailored for You.” The theme is the first to be solely focused on menswear after 2003.

This time, it won’t be wrong to say that Indians didn’t come to play. They came and owned the carpet. Keep reading to find out which Indians left a mark at the Met Gala 2025 and how.

The SRK Factor

Starting with none other than the King Khan himself, Shah Rukh made his debut at the Met Gala wearing a custom Sabyasachi.  He wore a black unbuttoned shirt layered with a floor-length trench coat in the same colour. What caught our attention most was the extravagant Sabya jewellery he wore—heavy and chunky—from statement rings to layers of chains and the big bejewelled ‘K’ on his neck. And how can we not talk about the tiger–topped walking stick? Total win.

Another much-awaited debut at Met Gala 2025 was actress Kiara Advani. Even though she announced her pregnancy in February this year, this was the first big public appearance she made with the mommy glow and the beautiful pregnancy belly. The actress wore a custom Gaurav Gupta with the designer’s signature golden breastplate and a long white train with a black tailored gown.

Diljit the Maharaja

Actor and musician Diljit Dosanjh is on quite an international high right now with back-to-back show-stopping appearances from Coachella to Paris Fashion Week and now Met Gala 2025. He embraced the Punjabi royal essence, wearing the custom Prabal Gurung white turban and regal suit with a cape. Diljit never misses a chance to flaunt his roots. He accessorised the bejewelled attire with a layered necklace and a talwar in his hands.

Priyanka’s Vintage Glam

Priyanka Chopra Jonas did her homework on the theme and slayed on the carpet with her vintage glam layered look. The custom Balmain attire consisted of a detachable train with a clinched waist and broad shoulder tailored blazer layered over a fitted dress. While the polka dots added to the retro charm, the hat, gloves and Bulgari emeralds screamed high society fashion. It was a date night for PC alongside husband Nick Jonas, who complemented his wife in a black and white ensemble.

Natasha Poonawalla Show

Businesswoman Natasha Poonawalla has become a regular at the Met Gala and each time she delivers some of the most stunning looks of the night. This year was no different, as the fashionista showed up in a custom Manish Malhotra couture. The ensemble is straight out of a Victorian Empress stylebook, featuring a sculpted bodice, ornate bustier, extravagant shoulders, structured peplum and a white ruff collar. The pearl strands were the cherry on top.

Manish Malhotra Magic

If one Indian designer has made headlines at Met 2025, it has to be Manish Malhotra. The couturier took fashion risks this year and it has more than paid off. While he did his masterwork with Natasha Poonawalla, his second showcase is worth mentioning too. Coco Jones looked stunning in a white embroidered and pearl-studded Manish Malhotra suit with a floor-length cape. The designer himself looked fabulous in a black suit and embellished cape.
