Sula Vineyards in Nashik is one of the oldest and most popular vineyards in the country. Founded by CEO and founder Rajeev Samant in 1996, the vineyard is celebrated for its Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc and Zinfandel. Big Banyan Vineyards & Resort, Bengaluru
Set in 20 acres of sprawling greenery 30kms away from the city of Bengaluru, the Big Banyan Vineyard & Resort is owned by the whiskey giant-Paul John. It is literally a traveller’s heaven with a variety of animals such as rabbits, sheep, and goats that you can shower your love on! They also engage in organic farming where fruits and vegetables like gooseberries, guavas, lady fingers and pumpkins are all grown on the farm. KRSMA Estates, Hampi
An hour’s drive from the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Hampi, the KRSMA Estate is owned by the Chigurupati couple-Mr. Krishna Prasad Chigurupati and Mrs. Uma Chigurupati. Established in 2008, the winery specialises in creating single-varietal wines. While there are no on-site accommodations you must make the drive to taste their award-winning Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah that will leave you in awe.
Fratelli Vineyards, Solapur
Maharashtra is the hub of wineries in India. The region’s ideal temperature variation specifically in the winters allows the grapes to retain their acidity and optimum sugar levels. Thus, the Fratelli Vineyards located in the Akluj district of Solapur are a must-visit. Spread over 240 acres of land, the vineyard started in 2006 and has its roots back in Italy. Its portfolio includes Sangiovese Bianco, Sette and the newly launched Pinot Noir. You can taste exotic wines, learn the winemaking process, enjoy a relaxing stay and indulge in some delicious food.
Soma Vine Village, Nashik
