Drinks to spread some Christmas cheer
There is no party without a good and cosy drink. For all those who are planning to have a Christmas dinner at or just want to indulge in some Christmas spirit here are a few none alcoholic beverages you can quickly make for this Christmas holiday.
Non-alcoholic Irish cream liqueur
Pour in some double cream, maple syrup Freshly brewed espresso and a pinch of ground cinnamon along with some vanilla extract in a large cocktail shaker or jug with a generous handful of ice.If using a shaker, shake well until the outside feels cold, then double strain into tumblers and top off with ice cream.
Passionfruit & elderflower spritz
Serve guests this stylish passionfruit and elderflower spritz for a grown-up, alcohol-free party drink. It’s fruity, fizzy and very festiveAdd in passion fruit juice, some lemon juice, few spoons of elderflower cordial, sparkling water and some passion fruit seeds into your glass, taking your time when you add the sparkling water so it doesn’t overflow, then stir gently
Non-alcoholic eggnog
Now what’s Christmas without some eggnog. This version is alcohol-free, but still has all the indulgence of the originalAll you need are vanilla pod, split and seeds scraped out, 4 egg yolks, sugar syrup and double cream with milk .beat the sugar and egg yolk separately till it’s combined and pale and add the rest and wisk it again till well combined and serve.
Slow cooked hot chocolate
If you are hosting a Christmas party do not skip on this one .Pour the milk and double cream into a pot. Add the dark chocolate and milk chocolate, then cover and cook on low for 2 hrs, stirring halfway through cooking.Remove the lid and stir again, then continue to cook for a further 15-20 mins. Ladle into mugs and top with the marshmallows, dollops of cream and grated chocolate.
Cranberry spritz
Mix cranberry juice, orange juice and sparkling white grape juice to make this easy, non-alcoholic spritz. It’s a perfect for a booze-free Christmas drink. Pour 50ml cranberry juice into two champagne coups or wine glasses. Divide the orange juice between them, then stir. In the end slowly add in some sparkling grape juice.
