Oppo has followed its Ace 2 launched with yet another rendition of the phone. Oppo Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition is essentially the same phone but with glamorous exteriors inspired by the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Hypebeast explains that this phone arrives in celebration of the anime franchise’s 25th anniversary. And the upcoming Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time film inspired the phone maker to give the phone a full EVA Unit-01 makeover.

But you’ll need to work hard finding one, as production is limited to 10,000 units — a slight drop from the 30,000 units for last year’s Gundam edition Reno Ace.

The Oppo Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition is available at CNY 4,399 (roughly Rs. 46,500) and is available in an 8GB + 256GB storage configuration. Also, the phone is up for pre-order and sales started from June 1. Pre-booking was already in action on the company’s official website. Only 10,000 units of the Oppo Ace 2 EVA Limited Edition are available for sale in total. (Source: Gadgets 360)

Hypebeast further explains the features of the phone. The phone comes packaged in an EVA plug with details. These include a full purple and green case, Spear of Longinus SIM tool, and NERV-themed charging peripherals fully tie the collaboration together. The watch packs ultra-fast 65W SuperVOOC charging tech, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 SoC. Also, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, a 6.5-inch AMOLED screen, and Dolby Atmos speakers. As for cameras, the Reno Ace 2 sees four cameras at the back. Two 2MP effects cameras, one 8MP wide-angle camera, and one 48MP f1.7 main camera are in place.
