Planning to Travel To UAE? Look at The New Passport Rule
According to a recent immigration rule passed by UAE, travelers now need to use their first and last names for flying there. In essence, it means that passengers with just only one name will not be allowed to enter the country.
Several airlines including Indigo, Air India Express, Spice jet have informed travel agents about the policy change. Although, it should be noted, people having a residence permit or work visa are exempted from the change in naming policy.
So, in case, if you’re planning to visit UAE and have a passport with only one name, according to the new guidelines, visa will not be granted. Furthermore, if your visa has already been issued, it will be INAD by the immigration.
INAD simply means that the passenger will not be allowed to enter the country.
