Post-Clean up

This sure seems like a heartbreaking step especially when you spend hours and hours doing your makeup and looking that gorgeous. But you have to understand the fact that sleeping with your makeup on is the ultimate skincare sin. In order to avoid further issues, you should first and foremost clean your face with a light cleanser preferably foam-based ones. Make sure to gently massage it all over your face and wash it away with lukewarm water. Just make sure you’re not too harsh with your movements.

Tone it up with toners

The second step in your post makeup routine should be using toner all over your face and your neck after you use a cleanser. Take some of that toner on a cotton ball and gently rub it over your face with minimal scrubbing. Toners will help your skin stay hydrated and clean all the extra dirt from your skin leaving it all refreshed and healthy.

Choose the right serum

The next step is using the right serum according to your skin type. If you have acne-prone skin then using niacinamide or green tea serums would be your best choice. Just make sure to apply it to affected areas and massage it gently. Wait for a few minutes for the serum to dry, before moving on to the next step.

Finally, Moisturiser

Well, this definitely should be the final step in terms of your post makeup routine. You will have to make it a mandatory rule to apply moisturiser at the end before sleeping. And this is because the serums and toners that you use might make your skin dry and patchy, so in order to avoid this, you should always apply a water-based moisturiser.
