‘Rock On’ actor Purab Kohli and his longtime girlfriend, yoga instructor Lucy Payton tied the knot in a close-knit ceremony on February 15 in Goa’s Birdsong villa. The two-day affair which kicked off with the sangeet ceremony was serene yet enjoyable. For the sangeet, Lucy looked radiant in a bright pink sari, while Purab stole the show in a blue suit. The couple exchanged vows by the pool, under a Frangipani tree of the heritage bungalow.
The venue was beautifully decorated with marigolds. The wedding was the perfect blend of traditional and contemporary. While the groom looked regal in his sherwani and pagri, his bride opted for heavily embroidered, traditional red lehenga. The atmosphere reverberated with Punjabi folk and electronica tunes played by the band present at the do. The couple also had a white wedding-theme party with the actor looked dapper in a tuxedo and his better half looked gorgeous in a white gown. Most of the things were centred around the couple’s two-year-old daughter, the best part being special play areas for the kids.
