Telugu actor Rana Daggubati and entrepreneur Miheeka Bajaj tied the knot on August 8, Saturday. They kept their wedding also an intimate and close-knit one with only a few family members and friends in attendance. The auspicious wedding also followed both Telugu and Marwari traditions. Among the celebrities, present to rejoice with the couple were Venkatesh, Samantha Akkineni, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and Naga.
The Ceremonies
It is in the reports that Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj tied the knot at Hyderabad’s Ramanaidu Studios. The wedding was hence reportedly attended by 30 guests only, to comply with COVID-19 social distancing guidelines. (Source: NDTV)
All the wedding ceremonies followed the required precautions and care regarding the pandemic situation in the country. Everybody at the ceremony was tested for coronavirus. Sanitisers were also provided and social distancing was maintained, the Indian Express reported.
Earlier, during an Instagram live with actor and filmmaker Lakshmi Manchu, Rana Daggubati opened up about his wedding with Miheeka. “For the first time, I thought we should do it quickly. So, she must have done something. When things are good, I don’t ask questions. I just went with the flow. The girl was right. I can’t put it in words. I met her and felt I can do this long term with her. It happened quickly and in the most simple manner,” the actor said. (Source: The Indian Express)
Wedding Attire
The groom Rana Daggubati looked dashing in an off-white dhoti-kurta set. On the other hand, the bride Miheeka looked gorgeous in a red and white ensemble by designer Anamika Khanna. Also, the lehenga is hand-done zardosi with the finest form of chikankari and gold metalwork teamed with a woven gold dupatta. Anamika Khanna announced on Instagram that this fine creation took close to 10000 manhours to make!
About the Couple
Rana Daggubati, best known for the Baahubali duology, made the relationship public on May 12. He therefore tweeted a picture of himself and Miheeka Bajaj, and captioned it, “And she said Yes.” On May 21, 2020, Rana tweeted two photos of himself with Miheeka Bajaj and captioned it, “And it’s official!!” The photos were from the engagement ceremony.
