No doubt that Ranveer Singh has a list of hit films to his credit, but he has been in some major controversies as well. The biggest of them was the AIB Roast of him and actor Arjun Kapoor hosted by director Karan Johar. The controversy became so big that the video was taken down from the internet and a lawsuit was filed against the actors and the entire team of AIB.
6. Gully Boy Nominated For Oscars
Director Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead role was India’s official entry to the Oscars. The film took the nation by storm with its storyline and rap numbers. The film’s tagline and the ending song ‘apna time aayega’ was on the top of the music chart for a very long time. We still can’t stop humming this track.
