Actors Gautam Rode and Pankhuri Awasthy got married in a traditional ceremony that took place in Alwar, Rajasthan on February 5, 2018. The couple fell in love on the sets of their show ‘Suryaputra Karan’ and dated for two years before tying the knot. The couple who got engaged last year had every bit of a royal wedding at Tijara Fort Palace.
The wedding festivities started with the mehendi ceremony. Pankhuri chose to wear a pink colour ensemble while Gautam chose a royal blue pathani suit. For the shagun ceremony, the couple wore colour coordinated outfits designed by Ashley Rebello. Guests were left in awe when the duo recreated ‘Dil Diyan Gallan’ for their sangeet ceremony. The bride looked like a dream in her pink gown while the groom looked dapper in his black tuxedo.
The wedding morning kicked-off with the haldi ceremony. The fort was illuminated with lamps and decorated with gorgeous white flowers for the wedding ceremony. Pankhuri chose to wear a traditional red heavily embroidered lehenga on her big day. Gautam complemented his bride in his beige coloured sherwani. Only close family and friends were invited to the regal affair. Sisters Gauahar Khan and Nigaar Khan and actor Saurabh Pandey were a part of the baraat.
