Specially designed for content creators like vloggers, Sony’s brand new ZV-1 digital camera packs powerful performance on the go. The camera shares a number of features with the brand’s RX100 family of cameras. The Sony ZV-1 features a 1″ 20-megapixel sensor and a 25.5-70mm F1.8-2.8 lens comprises its core specs.

The camera stacks a crystal-clear 4K shooting power and CMOS image sensor for unbeatable picture quality. Hypebeast also states that it has a pairing with a 28-70mm equivalent lens, which sacrifices a longer zoom range for a wider f/1.8 aperture. It also comes with a bokeh switch that allows you to select a professional defocussed background without any technical manual adjustments, states the website.

Digit further explains that the ‘vlogger’ centric features start with the full articulating touchscreen. Then there is also the reworked ergonomics that are more suited for “selfie-style” shooting. Perhaps the biggest feature that’s going to attract vloggers to this camera is Sony’s Eye-AF, a feature that will lock onto the subject’s eye and track it so as to keep the subject in focus. This is a feature that’s found in many modern-day professional mirrorless cameras and its inclusion into the Sony ZV-1 is bound to rack up favourable points for Sony. (Source: Digit)

Imaging-Resource also showers the following praises on the camera. “It’s a pocketable, premium compact camera tailored for video content creators. It’s for particularly run-and-gun video shooters, vloggers and YouTubers. Best-suited for the ones looking for a camera that’s capable, easy to use and lightweight.”

The Sony ZV-1 is available for $748 USD on Sony’s website and at select retailers worldwide. Indians still await its official launch in the region.
