It is finally the red carpet season and we certainly can’t keep calm. It’s time we get to see celebrities from the entertainment industry flaunt their most stupefying and whacky druthers in custom couture and high-end gowns & dresses. The string of events has already commenced with the 77th Golden Globes Awards, which was held on 5th January 2020. And the most recent one being the 2020 Critics’ Choice Awards, which took place on 13th January at the Santa Monica airport in Santa Monica, California. The blue carpet was bedazzled with the presence of all the hotshots of the industry and quite a few of them strut the carpet with their style statements roaring volumes. All the stars looked jaw-droppingly fantastic but there were some that specifically got our eyes glued to them.
Therefore, here are our top picks from the CCA’s red carpet.
1. Zendaya
The Euphoria star, Zendaya, was clearly in no mood to show mercy as she walked the carpet in a galactic Tom Ford two-piece which consisted of a hot pink long skirt paired up with a metallic pink bustier. The look was completed with a funky braided hair (that almost grazed her butt, might we add) and a pair of electrifying pink pumps. We were so not ready for this!
2. Anne Hathaway
The ‘Princess’ was seen on the scene after quite some time as reportedly she has been busy with her second child who she gave birth back in December. And Hathaway made the loveliest comeback in the most elegant and beautiful way possible in a glittery golden Versace gown.
3. Billy Porter
Billy doesn’t play, he slays and that’s exactly what he did in his Hogan Mclaughlin two-tone teal gown. Billy made a bold statement about the transgender community through his butterfly tattoos scattered all across his collar bones. Maybe we expected a little more from him after his Golden Globes appearance but he looked magnificent regardless.
4. Charlize Theron
What happens when you’re totally feeling yourself in the most confident and sexy way but then you also don’t feel like taking any chances of you falling sick in the chilly winters? You get a Charlize Theron walking the carpet in a steezy custom Celine sparkly high slit gown with a twist of a blazer. Undoubtedly Charlize carried the look very elegantly and we were simply in awe of her.
