Nothing beats a peaceful good night’s sleep. Apart from making us feel rejuvenated the next morning, it also acts as a key to keeping those panda eyes at bay. Think dark circles, extra-thin skin with fine lines, and puffy bags creeping around the edges. Yes, sometimes, it’s entirely down to our genes. But often it’s the lack of sleep and late-night binge-watching sessions that attribute to the under-eye darkness that greets us in the morning.  Here we are going to unveil the most promising DIY recipes that rival the abilities of their expensive counterparts.

Caffeine Based Eye Mask

Add ½ cup of ground coffee to a jar. Next, add 2 tablespoons of almond oil to it. Let it sit for 4-5 days to get infused. Strain the infused oil out of the jar and mix one tablespoon of avocado oil. Apply this mask before going to bed and leave it on overnight for the best results.

The Two-Ingredient Eye Mask

To a bowl, add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder to 1 tablespoon of buttermilk.  If you are out of buttermilk, a mix of water and dried milk powder will do the trick. Use a small spatula to blend the concoction into a lightweight mask. Carefully apply the mask to every inch of your dark circles. Let it sit for 15 minutes and use a wet cotton pad to carefully wipe it off. You may notice a hint of yellow, but this will fade as soon as you carry out the rest of your skin regimen.

The Nourishing Eye Mask

Take a bowl, rip open 4 vitamin E capsules and squeeze in the Vitamin E oil from these capsules. Add 5 tablespoons of almond oil or aloe vera gel based on your skin type. Add ½ teaspoon of turmeric and mix thoroughly. Apply it daily before bed and leave it on overnight for best results.

The Ultra-Hydrating Formula

First warm up 1 tablespoon of shea butter in a pan over low heat. Then mix it with 10 drops of pure chamomile essential oil. Pour the mixture into a container and let it cool down and it’s ready. You can apply it on your under-eye as a regular eye cream, every day.
