Well, now, theatres are likely to be replaced with living rooms and popcorn with pakoras because we are still in 2020 and the pandemic is still a thing to reckon with. Fortunately, the OTT platforms have kept some of their biggest titles reserved for the month. Therefore, Akshay Kumar’s Laxmmi which is probably the biggest release since the lockdown started will go straight to Hotstar this month. Wedding Affair brings to OTT releases to look forward to.
Chhalaang
An upcoming black comedy film directed by Hansal Mehta starring Rajkummar Rao and Nushrat Bharucha, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Saurabh Shukla and Jatin Sarna. It is produced by Ajay Devgn, Luv Ranjan, Ankur Garg and presented by Bhushan Kumar. As a result, the film is set to release during Diwali 2020 on Amazon Prime Video.
Durgavati
Durgavati is an upcoming horror thriller film directed by G. Ashok, starring Bhumi Pednekar as an IAS officer. It is a remake of his own 2018 Telugu-Tamil film Bhaagamathie. The titular role was played by Anushka Shetty in the original version.
Coolie No. 1
The much-awaited remake, Varun Dhawan starrer Coolie No. 1 will release on OTT Amazon Prime. Hence, the family comedy drama is directed by the king of comedy David Dhawan. Coolie No. 1 stars Varun Dhawan, Sara Ali Khan, Paresh Rawal, Javed Jaffrey, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav amongst others. It is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani and Deepshikha Deshmukh.
Bhuj
Bhuj: The Pride Of India will release on Hotstar VIP. Written and helmed by Abhishek Dudhaiya, the movie will release on India’s number one OTT streaming platform, Disney Plus Hotstar VIP. Bhuj: The Pride Of India is based on a true story and is touted to be a war flick. It also stars Ajay Devgn, Sanjay Dutt, Ammy Virk and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles.
Big Bull
Based on the 1992 Harshad Mehta scam, Big Bull will release on OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar featuring Abhishek Bachchan. Therefore, based on the same concept as the latest release on SonyLIV, the Big Bull will be tell the story of India’s biggest financial scam.
Mulan
Mulan will release in India on OTT platform Hotstar Disney+. To be available in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil for Disney+ Hotstar VIP subscribers, it’s a live-action film adapted from the 1998 iconic animated series of the same name. Produced by Walt Disney Pictures, Mulan stars Yifei Liu as the main protagonist. Henceforth, the movie also stars Gong Li, Jason Scott Lee, Tzi Ma and Donnie Yen in pivotal roles.
