A Grand reception , dazzling splendor and a pleasurable turmoil- Vin Diesel has landed in India. The fast and Furious fame commenced his two day sojourn in India, with his co-star Deepika Padukone, for the promotion of their upcoming flick xXx: Return of the Xander Cage.
The actor, who landed at Mumbai’s Chattrapati Shivaji Airport airport on Thursday was welcomed with ostentatious pomp. He walked out of the airport hand in hand with Deepika, who will be marking her debut in Hollywood with the movie. The stars received rousing traditional reception in what was proper Maharashtrian culture and the two were greeted with a tilak. This was followed by loud dhol beats, women bikers on bullets wearing nauvari sarees to welcome the two. Other women were dressed in red saris and yellow turbans paired with boots, giving them a modernized Desi look.
Their arrival made the crowd go crazy, who gathered to catch a glimpse of the duo. The two smilingly posed for the shutterbugs. The duo were accompanied by the Director of the film DJ Caruso, who also came along to publicize their upcoming film. DJ expressed his happiness about his visit to India over social media and even tweeted a picture of how Vin and Deepika were followed by the paparazzi on the streets of Mumbai, though he spelled Mumbai incorrectly. “Deepika Padukone and Vin Diesel chased by photographers on streets of Muambi. Vin Diesel also well expressed his excitement of finally visiting India. He took to Instagram to express “So honored to be here in India for the first time. The xXx Global tour has been great and now I and Deepika Padukone are going to share this film with her country today. As a child I always dreamed of visiting India… Thank you Paramount for making this dream come true. Xander.”

The actors are said to be packed in a tight schedule with a press conference in the afternoon, a fan interaction post press conference, where he will be interacting with the fans for an hour, which is open for all. Followed by this is a star studded premier at 7 pm that will be hosted by Ajay Bijli and Sanjeev Bijli. Then there will be an after party which will see prominent faces of Bollywood.
The cast and crew have earlier been to London and Mexico as a part of the promotion campaign. The movie starring Vin Diesel, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev and Deepika Padukone will be releasing tomorrow,a week before its release in US. The film is expected to be received with great enthusiasm.
