Revealing its adventurous side, Volvo Cars launched the V-90 Cross Country for adventurous car buyers in India. The new car was launched along with the opening of their new dealership Scandia Motorcars.
The 3S facility, in the heart of South Delhi auto-Hub covers an area of 30,000 sq. ft. on the Mathura Road. This is Volvo’s fourth facility in the NCR region.
Present at the launch were, Mr Shubham Gupta, the Managing Director of Scandia Motorcars pvt. Ltd., actress Evelyn Sharma, the band Ehsaas and standup comedy actor Papa CJ who were geared up for a live performance.
Speaking about the new car and the dealership, Tom von Bonsdorff, Managing Director, Volvo Auto India, said, “Volvo V90 Cross Country is an embodiment of a perfect ‘Get Away’. The car has remarkable off-roading performance, on-road comfort and luxury. It is designed for Indian road conditions and is in sync with the new-age luxury customer’s lifestyle of seeking a weekend escape. The car is equipped with features that is unparalleled in the segment and, as part of the product strategy to provide feature-rich standard equipment, we expect V90 Cross Country to bring a healthy contribution to our portfolio.”

The new car comes with various new features, such as, sublime on-road luxury and comfort, sublime on-road luxury and comfort, Power Pulse technology which provides a constant boost to the acceleration, radar based safety features such as Adaptive cruise control, Lane keeping-aid, Collision Warning with full auto-braking for Pedestrians, Cyclists, other vehicles and large animals, Blind-spot detection with Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Collision Warning, and Park Pilot Assist.
The V90 Cross Country is available in seven colors, White, Silver, Metallic, Blue, Grey, Black, and Brown.
Volvo Auto India (VAI) established its presence in India in 2007. Since then it has worked intensively to market the Swedish brand in the country.
