Weddings are no doubt a spectacular and one of the most awaited events in India. Along with all the grandeur and enthusiasm, it brings along a great deal of confusion and chaos. People are running around here and there, trying to coordinate with all the vendors, keeping a track of the guests and whatnot.

Sometimes these confusions create a lot of last-minute panic situations not only for the family members but for the bride and groom as well. To avoid such chaos and have a smooth wedding function, Wedding Affair brings you some tips and tricks.

1. Maintain A Diary

It is advised to make and maintain a diary right from the time wedding planning starts till the time of the wedding. Keep noting down work section-wise that needs to be done. Make separate lists for each event and keep marking off work that has been done. This way you’ll have a clear picture of work done and work remaining.

2. Confirm All Appointments

Make sure to call all the vendors like the venue organisers, caterers, make-up artists and photographer, etc. a week before the festivities begin. Confirm all the dates and services with them to avoid any confusion. Discrepancies, if any, get them corrected beforehand.

3. Get The Fittings Done Timely

Wedding season is a very hectic time for the boutiques all around. It is better to get your clothes fitted timely. Last-minute rush is a very common thing when it comes to clothes. The boutiques, at times, take up to even one month to deliver the clothes. So keep some buffer time in-hand.

4. Make Separate Organisers

Getting ready for a wedding function is a task. You can’t find your sandals, jewellery, etc. A pro-tip is to keep your clothes ready with all the respective jewellery, accessories and the shoes for each function in different organisers or packets. This way you won’t be running around trying to find your stuff.

5. Take Care Of Your Health

No matter how much planning we do, there is always a thing or two that gets left behind. All the wedding rush can take a toll on your health. To make things more manageable, it is advised to take care of yourself. Do not ignore your well-being. If you are in proper health, things will function smoothly and will help you to maintain your calm in moments of stress.
