ICW 2024 Day 7: Rimzim Dadu and Tarun Tahiliani’s Collection

The prominent designer Tarun Tahiliani went on to enchant his fans with the collection ‘Outworldly,’ presented at ICW 2024. The collection aimed at blending comfort with couture with designs that were fashionable and comfortable.

The outfits consisted of a variety from lehengas, corset blouses, and fishtail lehengas to sherwanis, and pre-draped sarees, featuring traditional embroideries like kashidakari, mukaish, chikankari.

The designer opted to compliment the outfits from jewellery by prominent jewellery brands Shree Jee Jewellers and Hazoorilal Jewellers. Some of the most prominent accessories were dazzling headgear or matha pattis, small bags and belts.

The ace couturier’s collection titled ‘Stucco’ was presented on the grey and white runway adorned with statues inspired by European Baroque architecture and Stucco art known for its intricate detailing and sculptural qualities.

Metal draped skirts, cord-weaved bustiers, capes that echo Baroque architecture and one-shoulder draped tops with sculpted metallic cords are a few of the key silhouettes the collection comprises.

Using beadwork, metallic threads, steel wires, traditional zardozi and stucco work; the designer blended the contemporary and the history with fine craftsmanship. Dominated by deep ruby reds, antique golds, and burnt oranges, the collection also included menswear in sherwanis and tuxedos.
